Prong combines hardcore punk, metal and gritty New York City noise rock in a tight, raw sound. Tommy Victor is at the front as guitarist and vocalist, and the band's minimalist approach cuts hard through with relentless grooves and sharp edges. The repertoire draws on the alternative metal energy that made them stand out in the early 90s, but the expression is still direct and to the point.
